My Voice

by healthy ashley on October 30, 2008

Especially since I work in politics, I am so ready for this election to be over. The negative ads and drama among supporters gets old fast.

But this election (every election actually, but this election is special) is crucial. The two sides of the tickets are very vocal about their issues and there has been a lot uncovered. I don’t want to turn this blog into a political rant– but every vote counts. And every voice counts. So I will show mine.. quietly.

I was about to lose hope! I know the McCain supporters are out there but they seem so much more quiet. (Oh- and I heard tonight’s ad was actually closer to $4.5 million!)

Girl!! you and me both on the drama. I am over it!

BTW – that’s who I’m voting for, too. ;) Like love of oats, I was beginning to think I was the only one in blogland in that camp.

While we support differing candidates, I do agree that EVERYONE needs to get out there and vote! I don’t understand people who don’t want their voice to be heard.

I am ready for Nov 4th, for the nerves to finally relax.

It is very interesting. I’m in Canada, and really don’t know much about the different parties (though everything that gets through to me up here is very pro-Obama) But I know the polls are close so I was wondering just who were the McCain voters (I think that most celebs are pro-Obama and that’s whose opinions I hear).

But even in Canada, I can’t wait for that stinking election to be over!

Yeah girl! Way to represent! You know I got mad love for Obama. But I have even more love for freedom of speech and choice! :)

I don’t even live in the US and heavens but I am so so excited for the elections. I admire how you’re proud of your stance without being overwhelming, but I must say that had I a vote it would most definitely be going to my beloved Barack.

Girl, I met a lady yesterday. She’s 62 and told me she is voting for Obama because he’s cuter and speaks better…and she wasn’t kidding. Awesome. I was dumbstruck.

I definitely think the Obama supporters are more vocal. Where I work, it’s almost shameful if you say you support McCain (and I live in Utah- a very Republican state). I feel like everyone around me is Voting for Obama, so I have no one to talk to (and people are very condescending about it).

Way to show your support, girl! I voted (for McCain) on Wednesday, and I’m glad to get the process over. Now I just sit back and wait (crossing my fingers, LOL).
