I feel like all I’ve been showing you is reviews of good restaurants that are terrible for vegans. Not today! I spotted Baker’s Crust next to Trader Joe’s (!!!) on my run and was immediately in love. The awesome name and simple design of the building drew me in before I even saw their impressive menu.

I tweeted my excitement before going and was so happy to have several Virginians tell me how much they love Baker’s Crust.

The menu was brimming with creative dishes. Nothing was vegan off the bat, but our awesome server was more than happy to customize a salad for me. I told him I wanted tons of veggies with the sesame dressing and they more than delivered!IMG_1368I was served a beautiful and fresh salad that definitely made up for all the veggies my “living out of a suitcase” vacation diet has been missing. The salad contained mixed greens, tomatoes, bell peppers, mushrooms, strawberries, candied pecans and the sesame dressing. It was beautiful and left my belly very, very happy.IMG_1373 I will definitely make it a point to come back to Baker’s Crust next time I’m in Virginia. The atmosphere, staff and menu were great… and what more could I ask for?!
