Oh, Philly. Here are some of the great people and places I covered while in the City of Brotherly Love last weekend!

I met Sarah Stanley- my running idol
I didn’t know about ultramarathons until finsing her blog.

Met Vee!

Saw my traveling friend Dave Mari. I see Dave in random states throughout the year as he does a race somewhere in the country most weekends. Crazy man!

I also finally met Olivia!

When I wasn’t at the expo I explored the city on my own….

It was a trip of waking up early and staying out late to soak in as much as possible!

Next up: Philly Rock’n'Roll Half Marathon Race Recap!

Country baby. Give me wide open country.
My heart is at home in the woods where I grew up, but I also love spending time cities. My dad grew up in Manhattan so I'm back there a lot to visit family. I love visiting cities but don't think I could survive in the long-term. I need grass and woods!
I LOVE that we've both met Dave!!!! It makes me feel more connected to you. But when can I meet YOU???
I am totally a city girl! I can't stand to be in the middle of nowhere and I would love to live somewhere that I don't need a car
Philly looks like a lovely place, great pictures!
Can't wait to read the race recap! I consider myself a country girl, but I do love taking trips to different cities! Not sure I could ever live in the heart of one though..I'm much more inclined to open fields and abandoned barns
I'm a city girl through and through! Can't wait to read your race recap!
You are so brave to explore cities solo! I prefer a bustling environment, but it need not be a city. As long as I am around lots of people, I am happy.
You got some great shots of the city! I'm more of a country girl at heart, but like the excitement of a city. So living in the 'burbs and being close to both works for me
I'd love to be able to walk to cute restaurants and go to more cultural events, but ultimately I think I'd go insane with the noise, pollution, and congestion in the city! Haha I just noticed that my word verification thingy to type in is milfs!
I love to visit the city and country but live somewhere in between.
So sad I couldn't meet you that weekend. I was there too but couldn't run the race.
you always manage to meet the most beautiful people and visit the most beautiful places!!! oh wait, its cuz ur BEAUTIFUL!! <3
the city looks quite breath taking. im not used to big cities and seeing the talllll buildings would be a little intimidating at first
have a wonderful weekend love
xoxo
awww beautiful pictures! you did an amazing job capturing the city of bro love!
Can't wait to hear about your next racing adventure!
xoxo!
I honestly love both. I grew up in NH and would like to raise my family in a similar area (not NH but a place where they can play in the woods) but am loving living in cities for my twenties. I went to college in Boston and am now living (and loving!) Washington, DC! Philly looks amazing!!
Hey Ashley! Just wanted to thank you for the advice about the Vibrams! I got some today and LOVE them
A half marathon must be nothing to you these days! Congrats on finishing nonetheless.
I've only been to Philly once, when I was doing college visits, and I can't say I have vivid memories–it went by very quickly and consisted mostly of just Penn's campus. I feel like it's worth going back!
