I’m not sure if you’ve heard yet, but I’ve been publicly exposed. Yes, that’s right. I actually dropped out of my marathon Sunday at the halfway point but thought you’d all call me a sissy pants for dropping out so I had Richard drive around and take photos of the course and photoshop me at the finish line so I wouldn’t be embarrassed on the blog. Not the blog!!!!!!!
Now that you all know the true fake “healthy” ashley, I think you should know the rest of the story, too.

Thanks for reading!
Edited to add:
Guess I should come clean about this too before the wedding!
***This is a satire post inspired by a commenter on my marathon recap who accused me of lying because s/he checked the records and they noted I did a half. In reality there was some sort of chip error because I completed all 26.2 miles. I’m easily amused. Regular programming to resume next week

I had a chip error for my first 10k – and I was so bummed! I wanted the world to be able to verify my time! Love the post and your sense of humor! There is an post on BlogHer about bloggers who “rant” or call people out – I don’t want to put too many links on your comment section, but I thought it totally applied here! If you want, I’ll email it to me!
haha this made me giggle! i wish people would mind their own beezwax.
I just love reading your blog! You are so awesome! About the comment the other night…it is not like you are running these races for other people’s admiration and so you can “blog about it”. You do it for you! That girl is so silly! Don’t mind her. You just keep being “you”:)!
haha, great post!
Haha, I never really read the comments so I missed the marathon drama-llama (and of course had to go back and check it out..
) This post is hilarious & exactly why I read your blog. Personally, I think “be honest” should be your new tagline hahaha. Happy Wednesday!
haha LOVE it.
This post is hilarious – I freakin love the picture of you with Charlie Sheen! I personally have never looked up the times of bloggers to ensure that they actually completed the race, but I aspire to have that much free time on my hands someday! 10 marathons is amazing, and I am seriously impressed with your ability to tweet while you do so. Great job this weekend but I am dying for the real recap!
hahahaha this is awesome!
Omg, the Charlie Sheen pic! WA HA HA HA HA!!!!!
Best post ever. I agree with the above commenter that “Be honest” should be your tag line, but please make it “Be honest. You dropped to the half.” Ha!
Hope you will post your REAL marathon recap soon-
look forward to another race recap from you Ashley.
Don’t get jaded y a couple of cynical readers- most of us are huge
fans and support you whether you finish a marathon or not-you know why? It doesn’t matter if one day you do ahve to drop out or shorten a race-I could care less because I know you are an honest gal who is a HUMAN BEING .I am glad youa re human and not a race machine-for
me that is what intrigues me-the ups and downs of all of our lives and journeys.
Congrats on your marathon, but please NEVER feel any pressure to continue or finish a race for readers if your bosy is telling you to stop.
Being true to your own body and soul is a beautiful thing.
I would be bored to read a blog of someone who finished every single race
and goal according to plan and routine .No robots please!
All the best Ashley!
PS Excuse typos, thanks! (eg “body” not bosy!)
What a sweet, sweet comment. Thank you <3 You and everyone who reads my blogs and supports me through the ups and downs mean so much to me. Thank you!!
Bwahahaha. I needed this. And I always walk around holding big ham hocks. That’s not normal???
I can’t believe someone took the time to fact check you….and I’m glad, because this post made me giggle really hard. Wonderfully hard.
We all knew you were in love with Charlie Sheen
Great (and hilarious) post!
Haha! What kind of meat are you drinking? Congrats on your marathon, by the way!
