2011- and a Big Announcement

This past year has been full of milestones.

I left my job with lululemon and moved to Asheville to be with Richard.

We adopted Puppy.

We planned a wedding, got married…

… and honeymooned!

I visited Megan in Baltimore and went to Landmark in DC.

I broke my pelvis in three places and suffered a severe concussion in my cycling accident.

Gained a screw in my hip…

And had to relearn to walk, all while leaning on Richard.

We witnessed Richard’s dad and Nicole tie the knot in a Twilight-esque ceremony.

I got clearance to walk and finally ditched the walker and crutches!

I lost my grandmother and a dear friend.

I did yoga and ran for the first time post-accident.

We celebrated our first married Christmas together.

It’s been a busy year in Asheville with some ups, some downs and a lot of growth.

2012 is sure to be great, too- and it’s starting out with a big change.

We’re moving to Orlando January 15th.

We love Asheville and all the people in it, but it’s been tough trying to make things click here. Every few weeks we feel called to Florida; it makes more sense for us to be there right now. We have more job opportunities in Orlando and much of our family is there.

The move is bittersweet. I feel connected to the mountains and we have relationships with so many lovely people here. But at the same time I can hardly wait to work at an awesome job, ride my bike along safe trails, visit our family and watch Richard surf at the beach. It’s scary, exciting and sad all at the same time.
