It has been a beautiful day off for sure.
The morning began with a beautiful 12 mile run- beginning two hours after I woke up and planned to run, in typical Ashley fashion.
It’s been a rainy week here in Orlando. The weather this morning was perfect- everything was wet from a late night pour but the air was crisp and cool.
And there were baby geese all around Lake Eola downtown! Babies everywhere! I got more excited than a kid from Michigan visiting Disney for he first time.
Even the ducks were enjoying the lovely morning. I was fascinated with their little group swimming in a pond so I kneeled down to take a photo… but they immediately got out and walked over to me! I had 20-80 ducks at a time when I was a kid so this interaction made me extra happy
Yes, I am easily distracted. Half zoo/half run, okay?
I returned home with a smile on my face to a treat I stuck in the fridge before my run: a ZICO coconut water in CHOCOLATE!!!! Amazing. Tastes like a healthy, refreshing Yoohoo! I also munched on raw cashews and blueberries. A lot of those.
Richard had the morning off so we headed back downtown to Virgin Olive Market for lunch. I started off with a matcha green tea smoothie made with almond milk. It was a fun treat
For lunch I tried a new salad. It had roasted sweet potatoes, roasted red peppers, olives, slice almonds, quinoa and a homemade Dijon dressing on a bed of mixed greens. It was good.
What pet peeves do you have while running?
I learned today that I can’t stand feeling sweat drip down my face. One day I’ll have bruises on my face from wiping it off so often!

That is why I love my visors! Yesterday was a sweaty run, and my visor caught most of my sweat. I also don’t like it when the salt crusts up on my face. It itches!

I love running around Lake Eola. Though I’ve only done it a few times, its always so nice plus their is Panera waiting when I am done!
Pet peeve? My hair failing into my face! I wish it would just stay in my headband!

I hate it when I get sweat stuck underneath my sunglasses – drives me batty. Also, I don’t run in shorts because they creep up into my hoohaw and I get cranky. Capris all the way for me.

aw, the baby geese are so cute! Your salad looks delicious too, especially the dollop of hummus on top

I HATE when I can feel myself sweat or hear someone else breathing/pounding when running. Weird, but its the truth haha.
I love seeing all the pictures of the baby ducks

All of those feathered friends! Those swans are just beautiful and the babies would stop me in my tracks – so fuzzy! I’m still a glasses wearer – so that is definitely my pet peeve. When the face gets sweaty, they start to shift south and it drives me nuts! Take care my friend. Have a good weekend. Mo
headsweats rules. keeps all of the sweat from dripping down my face.
