I laugh every time I run past this sign.
Today ended up being one of those really good workouts. You know, the workout where you feel strong and proud and are just sore enough to remember it for the rest of the day.
My 11 mile run to the box was rough. I ate too much sugar before the run so my stomach hurt and it was H-O-T and humid out. Still, I ran, walked and crawled my way there.
Saturday WODs are always tough and designed for groups. It’s a fun way to get to know other people at the box and really encourage each other as a team.
I decided at the start of the WOD that I wanted to be stronger; I wanted to push myself. We did the WOD RX (or at the weights prescribed) with the exception of a 55 lb. push press.
It felt awesome to push myself- to o faster and longer than I thought I could. I didn’t set any records, but I did push my potential and that’s good for me.
Perhaps the awesome workout was because of yesterday’s amazing French pastry.
A legit French bakery just opened down the street from our home so we finally checked it out.
I think it’s safe to say we’ll be back.
Happy Saturday!
When was the last time you pushed yourself in a workout?

That sign made me laugh as well. Too funny!
Hi Ashley, I did your road to 5k challenge earlier on this year, having never ever been able to run for more than 1k. The other weekend I ran a whole 13k in a race! Thought u might like to know how much ur challenge has completely changed me and my life, without wanting to sound super cheesey haha. Thanks so much
