I loved Vancouver, but there’s no place like home!
My trip was eight days long and I’ve had three days home to work out the jet lag and (try to) get back to my normal schedule. I’ve been moving slowly! The trip was a-ma-zing but it feels so good to be back home! I really do love Orlando.

I did some awesome things in Vancouver. Things like…
running around Kitsilano, Stanley Park and the seawall…

running the Sea Wheeze half marathon!

eating super yummy meals…

…and yummy snacks

practiced yoga with Baron Baptiste and Eoin Finn….

… and lots of sightseeing and window shopping!

…and more. For real. This trip was jam packed and so inspirational. I’ll recap the half marathon, my travel workouts and Brene Brown’s presentation on vulnerability soon.

I LOVE Vancouver.Haven’t been there is a very long time though, need to fix that soon
hi ashley, welcome home. this is unrelated but i have always wondered how you make sure your dogs get enough exercise? i figure they need a lot. you don’t mention taking them with you for your runs or taking them out and i’m curious. i was wondering if you do, and what your schedule is like with them? we have one dog, soon to be adding a puppy, and usually have to run with him 1h in the morning and evening to keep him happy, plus lots of offleash hiking and dog playdates on the weekends to really tire him out. my dog is a great personal trainer. since you have many dogs, i’d like to know how you balance their needs with your exercise and work routine. thanks!
Hey Eva! With four young dogs, they get most of their energy out playing with each other in our good sized fenced in yard. Other than that we throw the ball for them daily and walk them on leashes once in a while. It’s constantly on my to-do list to walk them more though!
Wow, that does sound like a ton of fun! Great trip. I’ve always wanted to see Vancouver or anywhere in the pacific NW.

Haha, it took me a second to understand the title of this post! As a Canadian and Vancouverite, I think you meant “Vancouver, eh?!” which means like, “Vancouver, ya know?” or “Vancouver, yep!” as opposed to what you wrote which might be construed as “meh, Vancouver!”. But this is just IMO, I don’t think there is a dictionary approved way of using the crazy Canadian “eh”.
Haha after several people pointed this out to me I realize it should have been “Vancouver, eh?!” and anything but “Meh, Vancouver!” Guess this just emphasizes the fact that I am not Canadian at all!
The above comment made me giggle. I didn’t realize how much I said “eh” or “hey” at the end of my sentences until a few Americans came up to my wedding in July. They were all like ‘wow, Canadians really do say ‘eh’ a lot”. haha.
I’m so glad you liked Vancouver, I live 4 hours north and it’s my favourite city in the world. Love escaping their for weekend getaways. I ran the marathon in May and I HIGHLY recommend you come back and do it one day, the course is absolutely incredible! I am hoping to do the sea wheeze next year, sounds like it was a blast!!
thanks for the pictures! I spent six years living in Vancouver and it makes me happy to see such familiar places
Glad you enjoyed your trip!
