
Solae recently sent me some GNC Pro Performance Soy Protein 95 and other goodies to try out.
I’m not sure if you know, but we are quite the protein household. We have nine kinds of protein in the cabinet and are not opposed to adding more to the collection!

Some facts about soy protein:
- is a digestible plant-based protein source great for vegetarians
- has an intermediate digestion rate so it gets to your muscles fast
- soy is just as effective as whey protein for building muscle
- soy protein has antioxidant qualities thought to protect cells from damage

Sometimes soy in general irritates my belly but this protein digests much easier than soy protein foods I’ve eaten in the past. The taste was sweet (great for sweet shakes) and the stats are pretty good.

It didn’t mix very well with just water (still had some chunks) but was perfect blended.

Oh yum! my favorite protein supplement is my running buddies protein powder. That stuff is A-MAZE-ING. And this looks awesome too!

Jay Robb egg white protein is my favorite. just vanilla~goes great into smoothies~
I love GNC’s whey protein, the last one I got tastes like Yoohoo. Total childhood throwback. I drink them for breakfast, especially after a morning run.
Right now I am loving egg protein powder, as my baby (who I am breastfeeding) has a dairy intolerance and I can no longer have whey or casein for the moment.

I haven’t yet tried protein powder but my husband recommends it. If I win, I will be able to try it and then if I like it, I will stick with this kind!

i get soy protein from the bulk bins…usually mix it into smoothies after long runs!
I use muscle milk light but this looks great
UMP cookies and cream is my favorite kind. I love it after runs or weight training!
