I played in plank in my Workout Ready Poly Play Dry Tank from Reebok.
If you were a fly on the wall at our house, you’d often hear me say I miss my regular workouts!! Sometimes exams calls for more late nights studying and less CrossFit, yoga and tri training. And, even though my 140.6 is in a few weeks, school comes first.
So I’ve been fitting in ways to stay fit when time is limited.
You have 30 minutes:
Go for a run and throw in some interval training. Short bursts of speed will make you feel like you did twice the work.
You have 20 minutes:
Work in strength with cardio.
200 m. run
50 lunges
40 sit-ups
30 push-ups
20 burpees
400 m. run
20 burpees
30 push-ups
40 sit-ups
50 lunges
200 m. run
You have 10 minutes:
5 rounds:
20 air squats
20 push-ups
20 weighted sit-ups (hold weight overhead and lie down with your legs extended; keeping your legs straight and arms fully extended toward ceiling, sit up and lie back down)
fast
You have 5 minutes:
Jump rope for 1 minute.
Air squat for 1 minute.
Jump rope for 1 minute.
Push-ups for 1 minute.
Jump rope for 1 minute.
You have 1 minute:
Hold plank for 20 seconds plus 20 seconds on each side in side plank.
More advanced: hold hollow rock for 60 seconds.
What’s your favorite way to sweat when you’re short on time?

Great tips! I always feel like I can’t fit in a work out, but this helps a lot.

Hey Ashley, I just found your blog recently and thought I would say hello. Someone sent me a link to it because I am going back to school for nursing as well. How far along are you right now? I am taking prerequisites currently and am trying to figure out what program to apply to. I really want to do an accelerated BSN program, but realistically think I need to be working full time (I’m a social worker.) I’m glad I found you and will be reading along! This post is a good reminder to make time for exercise again. I used to run a couple times a week and that pretty much stopped once I started night classes. Best of luck and have a great rest of the week
Great post, Ashley!

“Hide yo post. Hide yo shame.”
I’m glad you deleted your racist-themed party post. The party theme was bad and you should feel bad.
I don’t “feel bad” but thanks for at least adding humor to your comment.
Hmmm…it’s kind of interesting to feel compelled to delete a post that was just about clean, good, non-racist fun.
:-/
I still stand behind my party but didn’t have time to sort through comments like yours.
Yeah it’s really time consuming to go through so many comments that call you out on your s**t, and letting through only the 4-5 that for some reason blindly support you.
Deleting posts is a lot easier.
Nope, no “s**t” to be had. Thanks for your comment.
Your responses here are disappointing. I supported your move to delete the post because I figured you felt embarrassed and wanted some time to reflect and craft a response. I may have hoped for too much. As somewhat of a public figure you have a pretty cool opportunity right now to have a discussion with your readers in which many points of view can be considered. I will say again that I hope you learn from this. Even if it takes a while I have faith you’ll look back and see this incident differently.
This.
Whatever. Pretty much what I would expect from a bigoted, ignorant-ass entitled devil. Fuck you and your “gangsta” party. Or at least be accurate in your ignorance. I don’t know many gangstas that deal in gold coins. Idiot.
And? I’mma need you to take up another sport if that’s the result of you doing crossfit. WOW. Nice cankles, bitch.
How is body shaming her better or any different than her racism?
Both equally ignorant and unnecessary, and I doubt it will make her suddenly “see the light”.
