This was Saturday’s WOD. It was a team WOD (my favorite) and a hero WOD (also awesome). The WOD was for Daniel. I love that the box shared so much of who Daniel was with us. And I loved sweating in my new #getafterit shirt from Reebok!
I partnered with a new friend, Kristen. We had a blast getting to know each other and encouraging each other with the pull-ups. I used a green band and we did 45# on the barbell. I was spending a lot of time practicing pull-ups before Ironman training got in the way.. I can’t wait to get back to it! We ended up finishing just over 30 minutes… and then lying on the floor in our sweat!
Sadly, that Saturday WOD was my last for two weeks. CrossFit is really functional and I truly believe it helps me in any sport, but I can’t risk being sore on race day. Instead I’m giving my muscles extra work in the pool More than anything I miss my friends at the box.. guess I’ll just have to meet up with them after
The countdown is on… the Great Floridian 140.6 in in just over one week! Tomorrow I’m going to share how I’m feeling about the race and what I’m doing to get ready in this last week.
